Great NEW Shopping Option on West 4th…
As often as possible TM and I like to swing by events to see our hard-working Ambassadors in-action. Last week we attended the Icebreaker Grand Opening media event. This is their first storefront location in Western Canada – the Kitsilano TouchLab. Icebreaker CEO and Founder Jeremy Moon spoke casually to a crowded room of writers, blogers, athletes, local celebrities and media alike. He explained the discovery of this quality material from New Zealand Merino wool and the evolution of the brand from t-shirts available in two colors to the mulit-line and multi-purpose apparel Icebreaker has become. The room was filled with excitement and individuals were happy to share entertaining tales of how their Icebreaker underwear saved them from the frigid cold and how it was worn for days-on-end.
The company was gracious enough to gift one article of our choice to everyone in attendance as well as extended a 30% discount to all for the following week. Needless to say, TM and I took full advantage of this and have been living in ours ever since. ‘Casual Fridays’ have quickly been dubbed ‘Icebreaker days’ and there is a new unspoken dress code for our morning workouts at Barre Fitness. We are testing out the’ no-need-wash-for-weeks’ claim celebrated by Icebreaker apparel owners – we will keep you posted on the outcome if you don’t smell us first. These clothes are magic.
